The Handgun 102 Skill Builder course is designed to be a fun, friendly, fast paced way to enhance your pistol shooting foundational skills. OVERVIEW Whether you've recently completed HANDGUN 102 and want some extra repetitions or some time has lapsed since your last formal class, our 102 Skill Builder is great place learn and refine your handgun fundamentals. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Successful completion of HANDGUN 102. COURSE OUTLINE Upon successful completion of this course, you should be able to: • Demonstrate the safe use and handling of a handgun. • Draw from and recover to a holster. • Demonstrate foundational shooting techniques. • Load, reload, and unload a handgun. • Safely and efficiently hit a target with the dominant hand only. EQUIPMENT LIST • Quality functional semi-automatic pistol Full size and compact pistols only (semi-auto center fire pistols only - revolvers or .22 caliber pistols are not allowed) • No micro pistols or pocket pistols to include: P238, P938, P365, M&P Shield, Glock 43, etc. • 3 magazines • Magazine pouch • Dominant side, hip-mounted holster or dominant side, belt-mounted holster • Please wear long pants with pockets and belt loops, a sturdy 1.5" belt, closed toe shoes (no flip flops or sandals), and a crew neck (T-shirt) or button-up shirt (no low-cut neckline) • Optional, loading devices • Tuition includes free loan of firearms, holsters, safety glasses and hearing protection. AMMO • Estimated round count: 250 rounds pistol • Lead core ammunition to be used on steel only • No green/brown tip, armor piercing, or surrogate rounds to be used on steel at any time
